PERANCANGAN FILM DOKUMENTER TARI RONGGENG GUNUNG SEBAGAI MEDIA PELESTARIAN BUDAYA PANGANDARAN

Abstract

Ronggeng Gunung is one of the arts from a variety of traditional Indonesian arts, its existence at the present time has experienced development and is starting to become less desirable, but it is still being maintained by people in several areas in Pangandaran district. So for the continuation of its preservation, media is needed that can provide education regarding understanding, history, forms of performance, and its development in the present. Documentary films are the right media to promote the preservation of this art, because documentaries can present information in accordance with actual events. The method used to collect design data is Action Research to obtain optimal research results, where this method is carried out by practicing directly in the field and mingling with the community. This Action Research method is also used to build knowledge based on experience. When this film has been published and watched by the public, it can be concluded that people who do not know the art of Ronggeng Gunung can finally find out about it through this film.
